Short answer. No.
You are holding two decisions in one hand. One is a real bet on which platform and which model win. Nobody can call that yet. The other is a capture problem that costs you every week no matter who wins.
Separate them. Fix the capture problem now. The bet gets cheaper to make later.
Call-to-CRM does that part. The rep calls June after a meeting. She asks your qualification questions. The structured notes land in whatever CRM you run today.
Why do sales leaders freeze on an AI purchase?
For the same reason their own buyers freeze on them.
Matthew Dixon and Ted McKenna studied 2.5 million sales conversations for The JOLT Effect. They found that 40 to 60 percent of qualified deals end in no decision rather than a competitive loss (Challenger, Losing to Customer Indecision). The buyer was not persuaded by a rival. He was afraid of choosing wrong.
Their research also found something harsher. Deals carrying high indecision close about 6 percent of the time.
Any sales leader spots that pattern in someone else's pipeline in seconds. It is harder to see in the mirror. The thing on your table is a six figure platform commitment, and the market ships a new capability every month.
What is the difference between the certain problem and the uncertain bet?
The uncertain bet is architecture. Which CRM vendor's AI wins. Which model family gets embedded where. Whether the agent layer sits inside your platform or beside it.
Those are real questions. The honest answer today is that nobody knows.
The certain problem is capture. Your field reps sat in a few hundred customer meetings last quarter. What they concluded in each one lived in a single head for a few hours and then faded. Who is really deciding. What changed. What could kill the deal.
That was true before any AI vendor showed up. It will still be true after the platform question resolves.
Waiting on the second does not pause the first. The meetings keep happening and the record keeps not getting written.
How do you de-risk an AI purchase for a sales team?
Commit to the layer that holds under every outcome.
Two things are true no matter which platform wins. Your reps carry phones. You need clean field data in whatever system of record you land on.
A capture layer built on those two facts does not have to be bet correctly. It writes into the CRM you run today. It repoints if you switch.
Three steps make it concrete. One, pick the capture problem, not the platform problem, as the thing you solve this quarter. Two, choose a method that adds no system for the rep to learn or log into. Three, make sure the output lands in records your future platform AI will read anyway.
Step three matters more than it sounds. Whatever agent you eventually buy will run on the contents of your CRM. Filling that CRM properly now is preparation for every version of the bet.
Where does CallJune fit?
June is the capture layer, and she is deliberately not a platform.
After a meeting the rep calls a number. June picks up and runs a guided debrief. She asks the qualification and risk questions the team's own manager would ask.
The call runs three to five minutes. There is no app, no login, and no typing. The customer is never on the call, so nothing in the meeting gets recorded. On completion the structured result is written into the CRM.
HubSpot is the live native integration, and teams are usually live in about a day. Salesforce is configured during onboarding. A team with no CRM yet can start on a shared Google Sheet and repoint later.
That is the point of a capture layer. The back end stays your decision.
FAQ
Should we wait for the AI market to settle?
Waiting is not free. The platform question stays open while your field meetings go unrecorded. You pay for the certain problem while deferring the uncertain one.
What is safe to commit to right now?
The capture layer. Reps will still carry phones, and you will still need field data in a system of record.
What if we switch CRMs later?
A Call-to-CRM layer writes to whatever back end you choose. It gets reconfigured to the new one.
Does this replace our CRM or our platform AI?
No. June feeds them. The CRM stays where it is, and your AI gets the half of the pipeline that happens in person.
